“My Bicycle My City”

Can cycling be a safe mean of transportation for women in a crowded and hilly metropole like Istanbul?

Founded by 7 women in 2015, the Women on Bicycle Initiative is now creating a space of solidarity between more than 6,000 members and women who want to be on bicycles. With the support received from Facebook Community Leadership Program, they are organizing activities in 7 regions of Turkey in the selected cities called “My Bicycle My City” where they gather with women and listen to their stories, women are talking about how they achieved. We will listen to the activities of the Women on Bicycle Initiative since its inception and the story of being a non-governmental organization from the Facebook group.

Every month, 12min.me meetings are held all over the world at the same time on Thursday of the second week. In Turkey, Bahcesehir University Faculty of Communication, with the support of the UAE is taking place at the venue Galata campus. Anyone who is interested in creating future solutions such as new business models, design, entrepreneurship, digital transformation, innovation, social benefit oriented initiatives, and who wants to get inspired, and most importantly to expand their personal and corporate network are invited to our meetings.
