Emel, who never got off her bicycle during her childhood, started acting in elementary school when she settled in Istanbul from Germany, pretending she could never use it in Istanbul.
Although she did not miss the opportunities she always came into contact with the bicycle, she never made a request to her family because she experienced the perception that bicycles are not used in Istanbul.

And when she became a mother at the age of 38, her son at age 5, she incorporated her bicycle into her life for transportation. She started to bring her son to school by bicycle and to make all transportation by bazaar, market, hospital. Thus, she has taken the step of getting rid of the health problems leading to chronicization. After the diagnosis of Neck Hernia, the physical treatments she received for sessions repeated periodically. Bronchitis, which she lived for 3 years in a row, was completely over when she started cycling. Along with the bicycle, she had a healthier body while recovering from both Neck Hernia and Bronchitis.

One day, she met with the founders of the Women on Bicycle Initiative. She explained that it is possible for all women to be with their children in a cycling life. She supported a lot of women who wanted to ride bicycles. She tried to take part in bicycle projects as much as possible.
